SMU Blog #4

Hello Biola Community,

First week of school is complete! We hope that it’s been a smooth transition and that you will be getting plenty of rest this long weekend! We have been praying for God’s continued provision over the Biola community far and near. We pray that He would provide your professor’s with wisdom, and you with the strength and perseverance to live life well in this season. We know it is not always easy, but we hope you can find comfort in the fact that you are not going through it alone. If you have any specific prayer requests please let us know by commenting on this blog post or emailing us at @smu.comm.coord@biola.edu.

This past Wednesday on our Spirit of Missions Podcast we talked with the CEO of Orchard Group, Brent Storms. He talked about church planting, and how God has worked through his work in his life. Make sure to check it on Spotify if you missed it this week! Also if you want more information on Orchard Group visit there website https://orchardgroup.org/.

Our info night was this past Thursday and it was so good! But if you missed it, and you want to know more about how you can serve within SMU this year it’s up on our youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/BiolaSMU/videos! Be sure to check it out for all the info you need!

This week we have our Missions Conference Coordinator Info Night on Tuesday from 8-9pm PST! We have an amazing theme lined up for you this year and we are so excited to have a Missions Conference to help equip you for Kingdom service during this time! Make sure to check our Instagram @smu_biola this week for more updates!

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."James 1:2-4 ESV
